Cognac Sandals Specifications

  • Upper - 28% Recycled Polyester from plastic bottles, 50% Bio-based Polyurethane (PU), 22% PU. Bio-based means that the material is derived from residual plant-based materials (mostly field corn), coming from renewable sources. The material is 'PETA-Aproved Vegan' certified.
  • Insole - Microfiber, 60% Polyester and 40% Polyurethane (PU), breathable material with a high absorption capacity.

    Over het merk

    De sandalen van Sharon Woods worden handgemaakt in een klein familie-atelier bij Alicante, Spanje. Het bedrijf is opgericht door de familie in 1989 en is inmiddels overgegeven van vader op dochter. Dit bedrijf zit in een netwerk met enkele lokale fabrikanten (vaak eenmanszaken), die de onderdelen van de sandalen maken.  Nu Sharon Woods net begonnen is, worden de onderdelen pas voor 28% van gerecycled materiaal gemaakt, maar het doel is sandalen van 100% gerecycled en/of biologisch materiaal. Om niet onnodig veel te produceren, worden de sandalen on demand gemaakt: wanneer een bestelling is geplaatst, gaat de productie beginnen.  Alle sandalen zijn veganistisch.
