Orbasics begon als de reis van een moeder om comfortabele, duurzame en stijlvolle kleding te vinden zonder schadelijke chemicaliën voor haar kind. Dit  veranderde in een missie om een verschil te maken in de kledingindustrie. Nu biedt het label deze kinderkleding en een kleine collectie voor vrouwen. 

Eerlijk geproduceerd: de items van Orbasics worden gemaakt in een klein familiebedrijf dicht bij Porto, Portugal. De materialen komen van GOTS gecertificeerde leveranciers in India en Pakistan, dit certificaat garandeert het gebruik van biologische teelt en eerlijke werkomstandigheden. 

Milieuvriendelijk: alle kleding is gemaakt van 100% gecertificeerd biologisch katoen. Een uitzondering hierop zijn de leggings, die 5% elastaan bevatten voor de nodige stretch.  Orbasics gebruikt verpakkingsmateriaal van gerecyclede materialen of biologisch afbreekbaar/FSC-gecertificeerd papier. Ook bundelen zij meerdere kledingstukken in één inpakpapier om materiaal te besparen. 

Veganistisch: de kleding is geschikt voor veganisten. 

Lokaal geproduceerd: het eindproduct wordt binnen Europa, in Portugal gemaakt. 

Goed doel: Orbasics doneert tot 4 keer per jaar aan organisaties aan FEMNET, een Pan-Afrikaans feministisch netwerk.
