Description
Pistachio coloured chunky hand knitted cardigan with intricate lacework all over. So much skill and dedication has gone into this piece. The yarn is hand-spun, hand-dyed and made from non-mulesed wool, a resilient yarn that further softens and adapts over time. Soft, warm and cosy. Sits at the shoulders. Ribbed round neck. Ribbed cuffs and hem. Engraved horn buttons. Each of our handknits are individually knitted by the ladies we work with in Nepal. Made in small runs, every garment takes a week to be knitted. To reflect the personal quality of these knits and the care and skills that have been invested we have included the signature of the knitter on the label. As requested by you, our hand-knits now come with a skein of matching yarn. This way you can darn your knit if necessary. A wonderful way to extend the life of a garment and reduce waste.

Bibico is een kledingmerk dat weet dat ze niet de wereld kunnen redden, maar dat ze wel op z'n minst eeen steentje bij kunnen dragen. Daarom hebben ze er voor gekozen alleen maar natuurlijke materialen te gebruiken en hebben ze ook een organisch katoen collectie. Ze begrijpen erg goed dat je niet mensen moet laten werken voor een loon waarvan ze niet kunnen leven. Daarom werken ze samen met twee vrouwen corperaties die allebei WFTO fairtrade gecertificeerd zijn. Deze corperaties zorgen niet alleen voor eerlijke handel, maar geven ook trainingen aan de vrouwen, zodat zij en hun kinderen zich een weg uit de armoede kunnen banen.
