Sodium Olivate & Sodium Cocoate is the base of saponified coconut oil and olive oil. There is no palm oil or animal fat involved, like in many industrial soaps. Cold or hot saponification? Many of you ask this question. Coconut and olive vegetable oils are hot saponified at 120° to accelerate the saponification process by 5 hours against 6 weeks for cold saponification. The debate lies in the fact that cold saponification preserves the properties of vegetable oils. It is true that some oils start to lose their properties at 60 degrees and above 100 degrees they start to lose their properties, but in the case of the olive oil in this soap, fatty acids remain up to 190 degrees and coconut oil remains very stable at high temperatures. The base is enriched with French sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin and essential oils and no longer heated to 120°.
Cypress Oil is added for its fresh and woody aroma and for its toning and circulatory properties for the skin. It also regulates sweat and sebum of the skin. Emblematic tree of the Mediterranean, it is a symbol of eternal life.
