This merino wool mini skirt captures the essence of the serene village of Ventė, nestled within the Curonian Lagoon. Meticulously crafted, each stitch forms an intricate square pattern – an ode to the nets cast by local fishermen who rise before dawn, driven by their timeless pursuit of the lagoon's treasures. With corozo seed buttons cascading down the front, the mini skirt embraces the heritage of hardworking hands and coastal allure.
For our skirts, we handpick only the coziest, cashmere-like 100% Merino wool, proudly certified as cruelty-free. No microplastics, no harmful chemicals—just pure, snug goodness. We source our Merino wool from Italy, where it's spun and dyed in-house by our Italian suppliers. We keep only a handful in stock, ensuring no deadstock.
For this knit we partnered up with a family-run knitwear factory in Šiauliai, a small town in Northern Lithuania. The owner of the factory is Mrs. Zina who founded the company over 30 years ago. Growing up she always dreamt of becoming an orchestra conductor, but running a factory as beautifully as she does might not be that far off. Today Mrs. Zina employs over 20 women from the local community who all refer to her as a mother figure. All her employees earn a living wage and are entitled to 4 weeks of annual paid leave, 24 months of paid maternity leave and paid sick leave.

Steunt de lokale bevolking: The Knotty Ones steunt Litouwse vrouwen/moeders, door baankansen voor hen te creeëren.
