The Eco Cup Sneakers from thies ® have a terrific sole made from recycled rubber that was manufactured in a high-tech factory. The insole is made of recycled cork. The sneaker shaft is made of recycled materials. The shoe is ideal for all seasons!

Thies is een schoenenmerk dat al in 1856 is opgericht. Ze maken schoeisel van innovatieve en duurzame materialen.

Milieuvriendelijk: Het bovenwerk, de voering en de binnenzool van de sneakers zijn gemaakt van 'olijfleer', gelooid van het plantaardige extract van bladeren van olijfbomen. De sloffen en sandalen worden gemaakt van upcycled melkwol. Melkwol is een synthetische vezel uit caseïnepoeder in melk. Het resultaat lijkt chemisch en qua eigenschappen op wol, maar de schubben van echte wol ontbreken. 

Eerlijk en lokaal geproduceerd: het olijfleer voor de sneakers wordt lokaal in Duitsland gemaakt, waar Thies ook produceert. De collecties worden dus dicht bij huis, in Europa gemaakt! 

Veganistisch:  De eco-lijn van Thies op Project Cece is geschikt voor veganisten, omdat hier olijfleer gebruikt wordt als alternatief voor dierlijk leer.
